New store caters to ballplayers

The Batterz Box, a new state-of-the-art baseball and fastpitch softball sporting goods retailer in Libertyville, is opening to the public on Friday, Nov. 18.

The business at 1336 S. Milwaukee Ave., in the Red Top Plaza, provides baseball and fastpitch softball equipment, products and apparel. Artificial turf covers the entire 5,600 square foot space and the check out counter is shaped like home plate.

Baseball and fastpitch highlights are broadcast on five flat screen televisions and six batting cages, complete with L-screens, tees and balls, allow customers to try equipment. Visit www.thebatterzbox.com for more information.
