Donate money, get gifts wrapped by seniors

Senior citizens living at Pathway Senior Living communities’ 10 locations throughout Chicago and the suburbs will be wrapping gifts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 in support of “Helping Our Heroes Wrapping Day.”

The public is invited to bring packages to be gift wrapped by residents of Alexian Village of Elk Grove, 975 Marth St. in Elk Grove Village, in exchange for a donation of any amount to benefit “Helping Our Heroes.”

Donations are tax deductible. The money will help Illinois military service personnel, veterans, police officers and firefighters injured in the line of duty offset home-related expenses due to financial troubles.
