MainStreet Libertyville hosts Dickens of a Holiday

Downtown Libertyville will be bustling with holiday festivities as part of the annual Dickens of a Holiday event Saturdays, Dec. 3 and 10.

Santa in his sleigh and Mrs. Claus will welcome all children to Cook Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

This year, the Children’s Holiday Shoppe will be at Petranek’s Pharmacy, 426 N. Milwaukee Ave., across from Cook Park.

The elves at the Children’s Holiday Shoppe look forward to helping the little ones with their holiday shopping. The gifts are wrapped and ready for giving.

“We are very excited and looking forward to hosting this year’s Children’s Shoppe in our Community Health & Information Center,” said Nadia Diab, owner of Petranek’s Pharmacy.

The annual Victorian Tea is at St. Lawrence Episcopal Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 3 and 10.

A Libertyville tradition, it is an authentic English tea with pastries, tea sandwiches and scones with Devonshire cream served by hostesses in period dress.

The cost is $30 per person before Nov. 19; $34 thereafter. Always a sellout, reservations are required.

Call the MainStreet office at (847) 680-0336 or visit www.mainstreetlibertyville.org to register.
