Elgin High to host Community Resource Expo with parent-teacher conferences

Elgin High School will be making parent-teacher conferences more convenient for their parents. They will no longer have to try to schedule multiple appointments or roam the school building looking for teachers in their classrooms.

The conferences will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 and 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22. in the Elgin High School field house.

Using an open house format, all teachers will be available in the same location during the stated times so there is no need to contact the school to make appointments. Parents may enter the building at door 7. Second quarter progress reports will be distributed to all parents who attend on either of these days.

Additionally, Elgin High School will be hosting a community resource expo during parent/teacher conferences. Community agencies represented include:

Fox Valley Hospice

Everest College

Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health

Arbor Counseling Center

Learning For Life/Explorers

The Community Crisis Center

Family Service Association of Greater Elgin Area

Hanover Township Youth and Family Services

YWCA
