Waldron scores 23 in WW South win

WW South 61, Rockford Boylan 45:

Sophomore guard Meghan Waldron poured in a personal-high 23 points and Sierra Bisso scored 14 points in her varsity debut for the Tigers at the Schaumburg Tournament. Kasey Gassensmith added 11 points for WW South, which led 51-31 after three quarters.

Wheaton Academy 65, Somonauk 44:

Ally Witt tossed in 20 points and the Warriors notched their second double-digit win in as many nights at the Somonauk Tournament. Sarah Drury added 12 points and 5 rebounds and Renatta Gorski 10 points and 6 boards for Wheaton Academy.

Harlan 56, Lake Park 47:

Alexis Hahn scored 21 points and Alyssa Hernandez 10 for the Lancers, who dropped their season opener at the Elk Grove Tournament.

Fenton 45, Leyden 21:

Dylin Coons scored 14 points for the Bison in the first game of the Fenton Thanksgiving Invite. Tina Guarino added 8 points.
