Iowa looks to fix issues on the road
IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa is just 6-4 and 3-3 in the Big Ten despite a relatively easy schedule that has included seven home games.
There’s nothing easy about the rest of it.
Iowa wraps up the season with a pair of road games, starting Saturday at Purdue (5-5, 3-3) and finishing with new rival Nebraska on Nov. 25. The Hawkeyes are 0-3 on the road this season, losing at Iowa State, Penn State and Minnesota by a total of just 14 points.
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says there’s no common thread in each of those road losses. He says the Hawkeyes have simply been outplayed.
