Buckeyes more concerned with their own problems
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Coming off an overtime loss at Purdue in which they got off to a horrible start and the offense faltered all day, the Ohio State Buckeyes say they need to worry about themselves instead of Saturday’s opponent, No. 21 Penn State.
Coach Luke Fickell said Tuesday he had no concerns that his team would bounce back emotionally from the deflating 26-23 loss at Purdue. At the same time, the Buckeyes must address several critical problems as they head into their final home game.
Problem No. 1: They’ve completed just 27 of 63 passes for 401 yards over the last five games.
They do get receiver DeVier Posey from two NCAA suspensions totaling 10 games.
But there’s still a lot of work to do.
