St. Charles group welcomes all to Thanksgiving feast
Submitted by Lazarus House
Lazarus House invites the community to join its staff, guests and many supporters to its annual Thanksgiving Feast. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, Thanksgiving Day, at the Tri-Cities Salvation Army, 1710 S. Seventh Ave., St. Charles. Dining will begin at noon.
The feast has become a tradition within the community. It is a chance to sit alongside guests and clients to share fellowship and a meal. The feast was established for folks who are homeless or alone for Thanksgiving as well as those who simply want to add more meaning to their holiday.
For those able to cook, a dish to pass is most appreciated. Food should arrive between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. in a disposable container and ready to serve. Needed dishes, such as stuffing, vegetables, etc., and supplies are posted on the website: www.lazarushouseonline.com. A courtesy email to juliep@lazarushouseonline.com with what you are bringing is appreciated. Everyone is invited to join for dining and fellowship. There is no cost. Registration is not required, but is appreciated. Call (630) 587-2144.
