Tell U.S to stop giving away money
If you were in debt over your head — way, way, way over — would you borrow money to give to practically every home on your block? No.
This is what the U.S. is doing — borrowing from rich nations, e.g., China — to give to practically every country in the world. Does this make sense? No. The U.S. debt is $15 trillion or so.
Congress will soon have to vote to increase our debt limit so we can give away more billions and millions. Does this make sense? No. We’re borrowing to give (amounts are for 2010): $3 billion to Israel, $2.5 billion to Afghanistan, $1.7 billion to Egypt, $1.4 billion to Pakistan, $678 million to Jordan, $662 million to Kenya, $632 million to Nigeria — the list goes on and on and on, ad nauseam.
Does this make sense. No. Is the U.S. stupid? Yes. How stupid? Very, very, very stupid. Are you fed up? Write or call President Obama, your U.S. senators, your U.S. representatives. Tell them it’s time for the U.S. to wake up and stop giving away money it doesn’t have. Do it today.
