Tea party, Occupy have similar message

Peter Lopatin of Sugar Grove: criticism of the Republicans who oppose Mr. Obama misses the point. Democrats want compromise when they are in a minority in either house, but when they are in the majority they won’t even talk to Republicans.

The voters put Republicans in charge of the House to oppose the Democrat tax and spend juggernaut.

Now the Democrats want them to go against the platform they ran on and agree with the Democrats, which is what they call cooperation. Opposition is supposed to oppose; that is why elections are held.

As for his comment about the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators — that they agree with the president — I saw dozens of interviews on TV and every one of them had a different message and it seemed to me to be in agreement with the tea party, or at least partially.

The tea party wants no bailouts, Occupy Wall Street wants no bailouts. The tea party hates crony capitalism, the Occupy Wall Street group wants no crony capitalism. The only difference I see is the tea party members work, and the Occupy Wall Street group all seem to be trust fund babies.

I agree with Steve Jobs’ assessment of Obama: “You’re headed for a one-term presidency.”

You are not capable of anything but crony socialism.
