Kane’s shortcuts showed bad judgment
Regarding Kane computer’s computer system:
As one who has been involved with several large scale system implementation in Chicago, I can say that while problems are not uncommon, most serious problems are routinely avoided with quality, professional project management in the research, vendor selection, business analysis, implementation, testing and user acceptance phases of the project.
Obviously, someone in the county took management shortcuts and used very bad judgment in their spending of millions of taxpayer dollars.
