North Aurora girl born at 11:11 a.m. on 11-11-11
When Kylie Stock gets older and plays sports, don’t be surprised if she requests the number 11.
The 8-pound, 4-ounce girl was born at 11:11 a.m. on 11-11-11.
“A lot of people are saying we should try and get free stuff or go to Vegas and make some bets,” said her dad, Andrew Stock of North Aurora. “The phone tree’s been activated. You get a lot of ‘Really? 11:11 on 11-11?’”
Stock said his wife, Lynn, was due to deliver their second child three days later. Their first child, 20-month-old Brice, was delivered via C-section and doctors said Kylie probably would have to be delivered the same way.
So the couple scheduled the operation for Friday morning at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, not planning to hit the magic number by any means or even aware the next time the numbers line up like Friday will be 100 years from now.
Stock said he didn’t know Kylie was born at 11:11 until doctors told him.
“I thought it was really interesting. We just wanted a healthy, happy baby. We weren’t worried about the timing,” Stock said. “They didn’t say anything, but they had smiles on their faces when they checked the time.”
Stock said the couple is undecided right now on a middle name for Kylie, but it probably won’t be Evelyn.
