Audition for ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’

There will be an audition call for grades 3-8 for “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” an Improv Playhouse Young Actors Workshop production.

It will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, Improv Playhouse Studio, 116 W. Lake St., Libertyville, and 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, Improv Playhouse Black Box Theater, 735 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

This new dramatization of C.S. Lewis’ classic, set in the land of Narnia, faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten Narnia.

The intense action features chases, duels and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan. All the memorable episodes and characters from the story are represented in this exciting drama. Rehearsals begin Dec. 4, on Sundays 1-3 p.m. and Mondays 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Improv Playhouse Theater.
