Outlook: The Knights slipped from 12 to 9 wins last season, but look to be improved after losing only one starter (forward Brianna Leon). Seniors Katie McGrath and Brooke Sauer provide leadership, athleticism and experience. Both have been on varsity since they were freshmen. Senior guards Allie Ceglarek and Sara Steinhoff are three-year varsity players. A pair of 5-foot-3 guards, junior Jordyn Bowen and sophomore Kendall Detweiler, played plenty last season and can cause havoc with their quickness. Junior newcomer Joanna Guhl (5-10) showed during the volleyball season the kind of athletic ability she can bring to the court. "The team had a great summer and is shooting the ball very well in preseason," coach Jim Sarver said. "The team has many of the facets that should lead to a successful season senior leadership and a good combination of inside and outside play."
