Judson men upset Robert Morris
The Judson University men’s soccer team pulled off a 4-1 upset of top seed Robert Morris Wednesday in the semifinals of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.
Mike Tobie and Santiago Munoz each had 2 goals for the Eagles (13-7), who will play Saint Xavier at 6 p.m. Saturday in Chicago for the CCAC’s bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
Women’s soccer
Judson falls: The Judson University women’s soccer team was eliminated from the CCAC postseason tournament Wednesday with a 2-1 shootout loss to Trinity Christian. Jenna Steffensen’s goal in the 86th minute allowed Judson (16-2-2) to forge into a tie, but Trinity Christian won the shootout 2-0 to advance to the tournament finals. Sara Hoffman had 3 saves in goal for Judson, which now has to wait until Sunday night to learn if it will receive an at-large bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
Boys bowling
U-46 tournament: Larkin finished second at the U-46 tournament, as Sean Mahoney (582) and Bryan Sheridan (578) led the Royals. South Elgin won the tournament.
