Volatile rollover in Rock County cleared

TOWN OF PLYMOUTH, Wis. — Emergency responders had a volatile and dangerous situation on their hands in Rock County. An overturned tanker truck was leaking propane near Orfordville.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Department says the tanker was carrying about 1,800 pounds of propane when it rolled over Monday in the Town of Plymouth. First responders discovered a leak and set up a half mile perimeter. Ferrellgas later found the leak was contained to the gas line and not the tank itself.

The driver suffered facial injuries and was treated at Mercy Hospital. Town of Beloit and Orfordville first responders helped sheriff’s deputies handle the rollover.
