Robert Morris lowers tuition for Arlington Heights residents
Arlington Heights residents can attend the local campus of Robert Morris University for $5,000 a year, officials announced at Monday’s meeting of the Arlington Heights Village Board.
The regular tuition at the private, nonprofit school is $7,200 per quarter, or about $21,000 per year, said Panorea Bakutis, the university’s director of admissions.
The special grant is available for 30 Arlington Heights residents who start in February, she said. The students are eligible for the grant throughout their career at Robert Morris.
The campus, which is in its first year at 2123 Goebbert Road, is only offering a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a management concentration. Students can attend full time through classes from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Another course usually involves an internship, often at the student’s current place of employment, or an online class, Bakutis said.
Approximately 50 Arlington Heights residents who started in September at the campus got an even better deal — free tuition.
