Former First Lady Laura Bush to visit Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — Former First Lady Laura Bush will be in Milwaukee to help raise money for digestive diseases.

She is speaking Tuesday night about education and literacy at a dinner that will benefit the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Center for Digestive Disease.

Hospital spokesman Dick Katschke says the event normally raises $150,000 but they expect a little higher this year because Bush is speaking.

She will be introduced by Congressman Paul Ryan from Wisconsin.
