Dow Chemical to move 400 jobs to Chicago

Dow Chemical Co. is bringing 400 jobs to Chicago over the next three years.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the jobs announced Tuesday will be located in a Dow sales center in downtown Chicago.

Dow Executive Vice President Heinz Haller says it is part of the Michigan-based company's efforts to become more customer oriented and increase sales in Dow's specialty products portfolio. The jobs will be mostly Midwest sales positions.

Emanuel calls Dow's decision to pick Chicago “a reflection of the great work ethic and business environment in the city.”
