Flagship McDonald’s in Oak Brook robbed at gunpoint

For the second time in less than three months, the flagship McDonald’s at the company headquarters in Oak Brook was robbed at gunpoint, according to police.

At approximately 10:35 p.m. Sunday, two men walked into the restaurant on the 110 block of West 22nd Street and immediately pulled out handguns, according to police.

The suspects ordered all the employees to the ground and demanded money from the registers, police said.

The suspects received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area, according to police.

On a Sunday night in mid-August, the same location was robbed at gunpoint, only the suspects held up a cashier working the drive-through and never entered the store.

Two men drove up to the window just after 10 p.m. on Aug. 14 and pointed a long gun at the cashier while demanding money. Police found the Toyota 4-Runner used during the robbery but an arrest has not been made.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (630) 368-5060.
