Hear presentation at Grayslake Historical society

The Grayslake Historical Society will host a presentation on the Manhattan Project and a discussion about farm life this week.

Grayslake High School North student Matthew Teubert will present his award-winning entry on the Manhattan Project, the development of the atomic bomb.

“Behind the Bomb” will be presented at the society’s monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum, 164 Hawley St., Grayslake.

On Saturday, Nov. 12, the historical society host a round-table discussion and reminiscing about farm life in Grayslake.

The recollection and memorabilia session is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum.

The museum has on display several items relating to the history of farming in the area.

Those attending the session are encouraged to bring farm life memorabilia and/or talk about their experiences on the farm.

Light refreshments will be served at both events and parking is available at the rear of the building.
