No trace of Wisconsin man, 91, missing for a month
CEDARBURG, Wis. — It’s been a month since a 91-year-old Cedarburg man went missing, and his family is clinging to hope that he’ll be found safe.
Miles Leppla was last seen on the evening Oct. 4 driving away from his home. His family says he had his wallet and a full tank of gas, but he doesn’t own credit cards or a cellphone.
His granddaughter says Leppla has no history of dementia or of leaving unannounced. Shannon Morrison tells The Associated Press her grandfather never drove late in the day, and he wouldn’t have reason to venture far from his neighborhood.
Cedarburg police say they haven’t found a trace of Leppla or his light-blue Mercury Marquis. Police Chief Thomas Frank says officers have checked homeless shelters and conducted four searches from the air.
