New voter cards coming:

All registered voters in Lake County can expect to receive a new certificate of registration during the month of November listing the federal, state and county districts and the new precinct and voting site. Committees of the General Assembly and Lake County Board met and drew new district lines for congressional, state and county board districts based on census data. New precinct boundaries for all 18 townships were created and voters are being assigned voting locations. These new precinct boundaries were approved by the county board in September. The Census ensures equal representation among the population and determines the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives. It is also used to distribute billions in federal funds to local communities.
