Road study open house:

The Lake County Division of Transportation will host an open house regarding the Gilmer Road/Midlothian Road intersection improvements study from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Lake Zurich Middle School North cafetorium, 95 Hubbard Lane, Hawthorn Woods. The study area is through the village of Hawthorn Woods and unincorporated Lake County. The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the study, solicit public comment, and gather information to supplement the existing conditions data. Maps, exhibits, and a presentation will be available for viewing at the public meeting. Representatives from Lake County and the consultant staff will be on hand. Written comments can be completed at the meeting or mailed until Nov. 23. Road projects typically take about four years from study to construction.
