Remember GOP’s politics next election
According to the Federal Reserve, companies are holding more than $2 trillion in cash as of the end of June, up $88 billion from the end of March. Private companies are not spending this windfall to create jobs because the middle class is too poor to buy any of the products it has to sell.
The President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, which includes 26 leaders of companies including American Express, Comcast and Intel, recently release a report clearly stating that the only thing that can help America out of this recession is infrastructure building. Both labor and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (normally adversaries) support this jobs bill.
On Oct. 11, the president’s jobs bill came up before the Senate. The Republicans filibustered it. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said the president’s jobs bill would not even be brought to the floor for a vote.
Forget Occupy Wall Street. Occupy the voting booths this next election and fire the Republicans for putting politics before the health of our country.
