Wis. transportation commission to discuss projects

ansportation Projects Commission is scheduled to discuss at least six highway projects for which environmental studies are recommended.

The commission is set to meet Wednesday morning in Madison.

The state Department of Transportation submitted six highway projects last month for the commission to consider. They include projects in Columbia, Dane, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Sauk and St. Croix counties.

Transportation Secretary Mark Gottlieb says the projects involve road improvements that would enhance the state’s economy and improve safety and highway service.
