Lakes to honor veterans:

All veterans are invited to attend Lakes Community High School’s third annual Veterans Day Observance, on Thursday, Nov. 10. Activities include refreshments, individual recognition, and an all-school assembly. Veterans from the community are invited to gather for refreshments and fellowship at 1 p.m. in the small gymnasium at the school, 1600 Eagle Way, Lake Villa. An assembly will follow to observe Veterans Day and thank veterans for their service. The assembly is expected to begin at 1:30 p.m. and last one hour. Veterans are welcome to bring a guest. RSVP to Peggy Koziorowski at (847) 838-7106 and indicate how many will attend. Upon RSVP, a form with more information will follow for each veteran to fill out and return. In addition,
