Headline didn’t reflect reality
In the recent past, I have read the articles in the upper right hand corner of Page 2 of the first section of the Daily Herald with interest. The headline, “GOP senators defeat jobs bill,” really piqued my interest.
This paper is leaning sooooooo far to the left, that I am surprised it doesn’t fall out of my left hand as I am reading it.
The last paragraph of the AP article sums up why the jobs bill was defeated — because two Democratic senators joined the Republicans to vote no.
Accurate reporting would have placed this paragraph at the beginning of the article and changed the title to reflect what actually happened in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
