Dahmer survivor due back in court Friday
MILWAUKEE — The man who led police to serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer 20 years ago is due back in court on a charge stemming from the death of a man who was thrown off a bridge into the Milwaukee River.
Fifty-two-year-old Tracy Edwards has pleaded not guilty to first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Edwards and 44-year-old Timothy Carr were charged in connection with the drowning of 43-year-old Johnny Jordan on July 26. Carr pleaded guilty earlier this month and is due to be sentenced Jan. 20.
Edwards is scheduled to appear in Milwaukee County Circuit on Friday for a final pre-trial hearing. His trial is set for Jan. 17.
Edwards was in the headlines in 1991 when he escaped from Dahmer’s apartment and led police to him.
