Use moles to catch Metra cheats
Fake snoozing, using the squeeze play, hide-and-seek, and catch me if you can are some of the games commuters on Metra seem to be playing to get out of paying for their ride. (“In Transit,” Oct. 24) If nothing else, it sure is creative. Metra should plant moles on the busiest most-crowded trains to “ out the cheaters.” The moles can use some high-tech silent device to quickly notify the conductor who would then confront the cheater and collect the fare. Pay the moles a livable wage or give them a percentage of the cheater’s ticket price. I think it’s an idea that just might work. Plant moles; grow jobs.
