Free recycling event Saturday at Palatine Township

Palatine Township and the Palatine Lions Club are holding a free electronics recycling event from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in the township parking lot, 721 S. Quentin Road, Palatine.

Businesses and individuals can drop off any amount of accepted items, including computers and accessories, TVs smaller than 27 inches, copiers, satellite dishes, small kitchen and hair appliances, non-car batteries and cameras. Computer hard drives are guaranteed to be wiped clean in the recycling process.

The Lions also are seeking used eyeglasses and hearing aids, inkjet cartridges, cellphones and keys. Enter from Illinois Avenue.
