Job stimulus didn’t work the first time

This is a response to Maria Brandstrader (Fence Post, Oct. 18). Why should the Republicans keep passing legislation to create jobs? Were you not present during the passing of the 600+-and-counting stimulus bill that was passed to, in fact, create jobs? It didn’t work, so to keep trying to add on more stimulus money for something that didn’t work in the first place, why would anyone continue that practice?

The American people are taxed way too much in the first place. Don’t look now, but your dear president is riding around in a bus campaigning for the next election, and you, the taxpayer, are funding that. If Republicans are “playing games” by not raising more taxes, let the games begin!
