Search suspended for missing S. Indiana caver
LEAVENWORTH, Ind. — Authorities have suspended their search of a southern Indiana forest for a caving enthusiast who hasn’t been seen for more than three weeks.
Indiana conservation officers say little has been found during searches of the area around where 25-year-old Kevin Eve’s car was found in the Harrison-Crawford State Forest. The agency says nearby caves, including ones Eve was known to explore, have also been extensively searched.
The final ground search for the Georgetown man was on Saturday. Eve was last seen Oct. 1 and his car was found two days later at the forest near the Ohio River town of Leavenworth.
Authorities have said foul play isn’t suspected.
