Democrats not up for compromise

It amazes me when the leftists were the sole power in Washington, D.C., they never once compromised with the right. They never even once let the right read the bills before the vote, much less let an amendment be adopted.

Now that the people have spoken, by their vote in 2010, the left cries out for compromise, when what they really mean is betray those who sent you here and give in to the left’s demands.

Ben Franklin, when asked what kind of government we had, said,” a republic, if you can keep it,” but the left keeps calling it a democracy, when it is actually a democratic republic.

Jefferson’s great fear was, as he called it, “The tyranny of the mob.” When the majority finds they can send people to government, who will give them benefits from the treasury, we end up with mob rule.

We have always been a center right nation, and all the unbiased polls bear this out. The left tries to demonize and mischaracterize why the tea party sprang up and their attempt to form a sequel, using the children of the leftist elite, makes the tea party more relevant than ever and their unwashed campouts in the cities of our nation seem childish and even funny.

Hank Williams Jr. is an idiot, but a good singer, and again proves we shouldn’t pay attention to singers, actors, comedians and famous people when they stray from their field of endeavor, and try to advise their fans about subjects in which they lack knowledge. Sure they all have first amendment rights to speak, but it proves foolish for those who depend on their fame for a living. Ask the Dixie Chicks, who lost half their record sales and half their fan base, if “self- expression” was worth the financial loss?
