No signs of C. Ind. woman missing for months
KOKOMO, Ind. — Relatives and friends of a Central Indiana woman missing for months spent the weekend looking for clues without finding any signs of her.
Kokomo police say 27-year-old Kelly Armstrong was reported missing Sept. 27 after not being seen or heard from since mid-July.
Shelly Rush tells the Kokomo Tribune that volunteers concentrated Saturday and Sunday on a small area near where her sister lived and waterways around the city's northeast side.
Rush says there's little chance Armstrong wouldn't have contacted anyone if she was still alive.
Police say that during the initial search for the mother of four, officers found Armstrong's boyfriend at her home and arrested him on charges he had cut off his in-home detention bracelet from a conviction for driving while under a lifetime suspension.
