3 wounded near Fort Wayne club in fair condition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Police say three people were wounded in a shooting outside a nightclub in Fort Wayne.

The shooting happened about 3 a.m. Friday outside Piere’s nightclub on the city’s north side. Officer Liza Thomas says officers responding to reports of gunfire found a man who had been shot behind a building. He was brought to a hospital.

Shortly afterward, two more men who had been outside Piere’s showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds.

Thomas says a preliminary investigation shows the three men were shot during a disturbance. She says they are all in fair condition.

Police have identified people of interest in the shootings. Three people have been arrested on unrelated charges, including two of the shooting victims.
