ComEd comes meets with Des Plaines

Des Plaines will host an informational open house with ComEd at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at City Hall, 1420 Miner St.

ComEd representatives will talk about the proposed smart grid and smart meters technology, the reliability of electrical service, energy efficiency programs, vegetation management, underground cables and neighborhood outages.

Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions.

“This is a perfect time to learn about plans for future upgrades, technology, outage concerns, and infrastructure power issues,” Des Plaines Mayor Marty Moylan said in a news release.
