Wis. State Fair to keep youth admission policy Wis. State Fair to keep youth admission policy

MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin State Fair Park Board has decided to keep a youth admission policy imposed after last summer’s disturbances on the first night of the fair.

Under that policy, young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be admitted after 5 p.m.

Anyone age 18 or over may be asked to show a valid driver’s license or state identification card for proof of age to be admitted to the fairgrounds.

That policy was put in place the day after young people attacked fairgoers the night of Aug. 4.

The Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/nPKd3y) reports the fair park board decided Monday to keep the policy intact.
