Library holds chess tournament:

The Cook Memorial Public Library District will host a youth chess tournament on Nov. 7. It will begin at 4:15 p.m. at the Cook Park Library, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Kids in kindergarten through the 8th grade can participate. Registration is required and begins Oct. 31. Call (847) 362-2330 or go to webres.cooklib.org to register.
