Beloit man charged in fatal hit-run
JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Beloit man is charged in a hit-and-run death.
Prosecutors say 42-year-old Derrick Richardson was driving drunk when he struck and killed 79-year-old Anthony Sears who was crossing a street in Janesville Saturday morning.
The Janesville Gazettesays Richardson is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, fifth or sixth offense drunken driving, causing death while operating a vehicle after revocation and hit and run resulting in death. He’s being held in the Rock County Jail on a $40,000 cash bond.
