Dinner’s on them at Geneva church

Submitted by United Methodist Church of Geneva

It’s the second anniversary of the Third Tuesday Suppers at Geneva United Methodist Church.

“We are beginning our third year and have no plans to stop serving supper anytime soon,” said Beth Kucera, one of the supper coordinators.

The church is continuing its free to all, no reservations needed, community meal from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the first-floor dining hall, 211 Hamilton St. This special anniversary supper includes the signature supper of Gayle’s Famous Chicken and Broccoli with savory sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, Caesar salad, and hot rolls with butter. The homemade dessert buffet will include the bakers’ favorite recipes and anniversary cupcakes. In addition, hot dogs and chips are available.

Diners may eat in the elevator-accessible dining hall or carry out their meal. To accommodate the increasing number of guests, there will be two buffet lines all evening.

Anyone wishing to donate money to the supper program can do so via the website or by sending a check to the church office marked Third Tuesday Suppers. All funds received go directly to supper expenses.
