Barrington church preschool for 2-year-old registration set

Parents of 2-year olds: Was your child not quite ready or old enough for preschool last September? Starting Monday, Nov. 14, registration is open for Taste of Two's, Noah's Ark Christian Preschool's class for 2-year-olds. The class begins Friday, Jan. 20, in Barrington United Methodist Church's facility at 98 Algonquin Road (at Route 59), in Barrington.

Noah's Ark teachers understand the importance of appropriate learning experiences for this age group, and plan activities with their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development in mind. Vocabulary is one of a 2-year-old child's largest growth areas, and the class includes a wide variety of stories, songs and activities that directly impact this essential progression.

A $50 registration fee will hold a spot for your child, and tuition payments are due in December and April. There will be a maximum of 12 students in this class, and two teachers.

A ministry of BUMC, Noah's Ark is in the education wing of the church, which consists of five bright, spacious classrooms equipped with developmentally appropriate materials. There is also an expansive outside playground, a new Nature Explore Classroom, and an indoor motor room. Noah's Ark offers low student to teacher ratios, plus all instructors meet state qualifications, and are trained in CPR and first aid. Classes are half day, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
