Schmidt used her position unethically

I believe your Oct. 4 editorial about State Sen. Suzi Schmidt’s 911 call was way off base. Using her position as an elected official, she called 911, an emergency line, and asked them to ignore any calls for help by her husband. Quite an abuse of power in my opinion, and if a male had called and asked for the same if his wife called for help, would your opinion have been the same?
