WDSRA grateful for luncheon support

Western DuPage Special Recreation Association extends a big thank you to the Outback Steakhouse in Bloomingdale for its generosity in hosting a wonderful luncheon on Sept. 23. Sal Diaz, Outback proprietor, and several of his staff members volunteered their time to serve more than 80 WDSRA supporters.

WDSRA is grateful to the community members, community officials and local park district staff who took time out of their busy schedules for the luncheon. Given that this fall marks WDSRA’s 35th anniversary, the luncheon was an especially nice celebration within a milestone year.

Since 1976, WDSRA has enjoyed nurturing partnerships that support our mission of “developing individuals through recreation.” Our therapeutic recreation programs serve more than 4,500 children and adults with special needs through over 1,500 programs, trips, and special events each year.
