Polish ruling party widens lead in Oct. 4-5 poll by Homo Homini

Civic Platform, Poland’s ruling party, widened its lead over rival Law & Justice to 5 percentage points in an Oct. 4-5 poll of 2,200 adults by Warsaw-based Homo Homini, Marcin Duma, the research company’s head, said today by phone.

Support for Civic Platform rose to 32 percent, up 2 percentage points from a Homo Homini poll from Oct. 1, while Law & Justice had 27 percent, a decrease of 2 percentage points. The opposition Left Democratic Alliance was backed by 11 percent of those surveyed, followed by the Polish Peasants Party, with 8 percent, and the Palikot Movement, with 7 percent.

The margin of error was 2.7 percent, Duma said.
