Mundelein Missiles set record for longest game played

Competing in the Continental Amateur Baseball Association World Series at the end of July, the Mundelein Missiles set a new World Series record for the longest 11U game ever played.

Their 16-inning game vs. the No. 22 rated team in the nation was tied 1-1 after regulation play of 6 innings. The game continued on 10 extra innings and ended with a score of 4-3 in the bottom of the 16th.

With an overall record of 51-14, the Missiles finished the year as the 7th rated AAA team in the state of Illinois.
