Home Depot pitches in at Little City
About 50 Home Depot employees joined workers and Little City Foundation representatives Tuesday to renovate one of the Little City Community Integrated Living homes in Palatine, which houses eight male residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Projects at the Palatine Road residence included refinishing the deck, painting, replacing light fixtures and molding, carpeting and building a new table.
Home Depot volunteered both services and supplies.
Jeff Hellmer, a store manager at the Home Depot in Volo, is part of the crew.
