Fight flu, hunger:

Advocate Condell Medical Center is offering flu shots at a reduced cost in exchange for a donation of nonperishable food on Monday, Oct. 10 at Advocate Condell’s Centre Club location at 1405 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee. The shots will be given from 6 to 8 p.m. following a lecture at 5:30 p.m. by Mobola Cambell-Yesufu, MD, board certified in infectious disease, who will give tips on how to stay healthy during the flu season. Flu shots are $10 plus a nonperishable food item. Food collected will be donated to a Lake County food pantry. Shots are also available, while supplies last, at Advocate Condell’s Immediate Care Centers in Gurnee, Round Lake and Round Lake Beach for $25.
