PRNewswire

Harvey-based Atkore International Inc. announced that it has acquired the assets of Razor Wire International, a manufacturing company specializing in razor wire ranging from 18 inches to 60 inches in diameter.

Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

The acquisition will strengthen Atkore’s existing barbed tape product portfolio and market presence in the perimeter security market, the company said in a release.

“This acquisition enhances our leadership position in a market we perform well in today and that we are focused on for the future,” said John Williamson, president and chief executive officer of Atkore International.  “The additional capability and capacity enables us to improve upon our proven record of delivering quality products to our valued customers when and where it is needed and at an industry best value.”

As part of the acquisition, Razor Wire International products will transition to the RazorRibbon product offering available through Atkore.  Additionally, all production will transfer to Atkore’s Hebron, Ohio facility.

Razor Wire International uses state-of-the art, custom-built, proprietary equipment to maximize production efficiency and minimize cost.
