Rt. 22 Metra crossing to be closed Oct. 5-13 in Lake County

Route 22, also known as Half Day Road, in Lake County will be closed at the Metra railroad crossing west of Waukegan Road and east of Telegraph Road from Wednesday, Oct. 5, through Thursday, Oct. 13.

The detour route is Riverwoods Road south to Deerfield Road, Telegraph Road north to Everett Road. Local traffic will have limited access to Dunsinane Lane and Broadleys Court.

Motorists should pay close attention to the numerous changeable message signs on both Route 22 and Route 43 for updates.
